The company has to do the executive studies, and in particular sizing & functioning crossroads studies, which must have enough traffic capacity reserve and optimum priority. CeRyX trafic System has in charge the signalling expertise.

Missions of CeRyX Trafic System
- Adapte road planning to obtain an optimal priority functioning
- Give the agreement to the traffic lights locations
- Validate traffic lights regulation files
- Edit a control parameters booklet concerning programmations
- Assist the main contractor for the traffic lights work supervision, especially functioning and security aspects
- Verify the functioning during commissioning, and do corrective actions if necessary
- After commissioning, lead the traffic lights functioning optimization and the traffic lights lifting of reservations

"Dubaï Al Safooh - RS Design – Traffic lights Expertise"

The construction of the first tramway line in Dubai (the Al Sufouh Tram) was entrusted to Alstom-Besix Consorsium. It is completely powered by ground-based electric supply system. Ceryx Trafic System worked as a subcontractor for Alstom as specialist of road signalling for studies to commissioning. CeRyX Trafic System had raised awareness all project stakeholders on the importance and on the functioning of the priority for the tram.

Missions of CeRyX Trafic System
- Presented the principles of trams priority at traffic lights junctions
- Attended Alstom in developing and rereading general specifications and detailed system design
- Made recommendations regarding the implementation of tram detection loops on the 10 kilometers from the first line
- Participated in the development of the specification of each junction.
- co-authored the testing process and recipe of priority subsystems at traffic lights
- participated onsite in setting the final point of the subsystem during scale tests in preparation for the inauguration of the system

CITY OF PARIS (2010/2014)
"Priority system for parisians tramway and crossroads controllers for the T3 expansion lane"

In the context of the T3 expansion lane, CeRyX Trafic System had to achieve crossroad regulation files (integrating priority system for public transport) and, during tests, to assure deployment and adjustments of crossroads.

- Realisation of crossroad regulation files and functioning explanation sheet
- Participation in tests for crossroads functioning
- Establishement of the final implementation file of crossroads booklet and realisation of a course for central station traffic regulation departments of Paris

"Analysis & proportioning studies of N5 interchanges for the Martinique Island public transport implementation"

The local authority of Martinique Island decided to improve the public transport service by creating a bus line with a high level of service. CeRyX Trafic System was the subcontractor of the engineering group of consulting firms which was chosen to be the main contractor support for this bus line. Our mission was to conduct urban development studies about the N5 lane – where the buses will run.

Missions of CeRyX Trafic System
According to the existing traffic flows, CeRyX Trafic System has :
- Estimated the 2015 traffic situation
- Calculated the intersections traffic capacity in 2015
- Realized a technical drawing of the intersections to optimize the bus line circulation
- Proposed an adapted  traffic light functioning for each intersection

CITY OF GRENOBLE (2010-2011)
"Manoeuvring area optimization – Intersection of Chavant/Pasteur in Grenoble"

CeRyX Trafic System conducted studies, organized the works contract (from works supervision through completion) and the commissioning tests. In 2006, the realization of the tram line C created traffic disorders in the Chavant/Pasteur area: 2 tram lines cross in this place (lines A and C) and share a single station, located just between 2 difficult intersections. More than that, the traffic lights and the railway signalling interfered with the each other functioning.

Missions of CeRyX Trafic System
With the agreement of the state technical service and the qualified organism of France delegate, CeRyX Trafic System has imagined and created an innovative functioning: From now, some of the railways signalling missions have to be managed by the traffic light controller (road signage).
The railway signalling no longer manages converged routes, but still manages conflicting ones: the command of the railway needle and its security. This new managing solution permits a smoother global functioning and a bigger reactivity. Signalling communication with the driver is now simplified.

RABAT-SALÉ (MAROCCO) (current 2011)
"Development of road signs for the Rabat-Salé tram network"

This work was conducted in line with the renewal of the traffic light contract for the Rabat- Salé tram network.The Rabat-Salé tram network comprises two lines, which converge on a trunk section across the Bou Regreg river. The network covers a total of 20 km and includes 62 junctions.

- Studies on the secondary networks and take-over of junction control files for the two tram lines covered by the project

GRAND LYON (2009/2011)
"Take-over of the operation of traffic-light-controlled junctions on lines T1-T2"

Tram lines T1 and T2 have been in service since 2001. The lines needed to be modernised and updated to improve priority at traffic lights and cut journey times. An experiment was conducted on four junctions on the T1 line in 2008. The results of this experiment were highly promising, and a decision was made to apply these same principles to all junctions on both lines.

- An assessment of the layout and workings of the existing system
- Recommended changes (layout and workings)
- Production of operational documentation in line with the new principles
- Adjustments after deployment

"Extension of line 2 of the Marseille tram network between Gantès and Arenc cities"

Marseille Provence Métropole extended line 2 of the Marseille tram network as part of the community-wide urban transport plan. CeRyX Trafic System had already conducted studies and made adjustments to lines L1, L2 and L3 of the Marseille tram network. It was subsequently asked to provide the same services for the extension of line 2.
